Knights of Malta castle & village square ( :A.G.-CG47) |

The village gets its name from a Templars' commandery established here at the end of the 12th century.
The brick castle with its round and square towers was built at the end of the 15th century by the Knights of Malta, successors to the Templars. It contains some fine fireplaces.
The nearby Latour-Marliac nursery is the oldest in the world (1875) to specialise in conserving and breeding water-lilies.
