Ancient monastic village founded in 1097. A substantial amount of the Abbey still remains - the rest was initially demolished by the Black Prince - and can be visited, as well as the Museum and the model reconstruction of the original Abbey in the church. Surrounded by beautiful countryside with short walks, long walks or cycle rides, on mainly empty roads.
