Built in 1246 by Raymond VII, this was the first Bastide in the Agenais.
The ravages of time and turmoil have left many of its features more or less as they were originally: the arcades, wells and the defensive ramparts built into the chalk cliffs.
See it from the surrounding hills before strolling over the battlement walkway and into the ancient narrow inner streets.
